Is your paper recycled?

Yes. We print all jobs on high quality chlorine-free papers that are 30% recycled and 10% post-consumer waste. An added bonus, there are no upcharges for printing on our recycled paper.

I've heard that oil-based inks are harmful to the environment. Do you use any oil-based inks in your printing?

No. We print all jobs with environmentally friendly soy/vegetable based inks and zero VOC solvents. Little energy is consumed in making soy inks and soy inks can be easily removed from paper—helpful in paper recycling. Soy inks also print brighter colors due to a natural clarity that surpasses petroleum-based inks.

Is there a recycling program?

Yes. We actively recycle all paper waste, used plates, waste inks and solvents to promote sustainable practices. Also, we recycle all business amd office supplies.

Do you use film in the printing process?

No. We use digital direct-to-plate printing totally bypassing film and film's associated chemicals. This process creates less waste materials and is more environmentally friendly.

Do you use UV coating?

Only when requested. Since UV coating is oil-based we feel that water-based aqueous coating is a much better environmental choice. We also think that aqueous looks better.

What else is your business doing to help?

We promote alternate energy development by offsetting our carbon footprint with wind power support. We donate to cutting edge non-profit organizations such as envirofit.org and kiva.org that are solving environmental issues and helping people improve their lives.
